The Assistent Original is produced and assembled by hand in Sweden and has been since 1940. Each Assistent is tested before it leaves the factory. We work with the catchwords of quality, functionality and design.
This unit features a warm, deep green hue with a mat finish, celebrating the very nature that surrounds our factory in Ankarsrum. Each Assistent Original standard package includes accessories to make cooking easier and provide invaluable help when baking everything from sponge cakes to sourdough loaves. This is the latest model of the classic Assistent Original, with several new clever functions and improvements. A huge 7 litre bowl makes this the ideal machine for making large batches of dough. It can mix 1.5 L of dough liquid and 5 kg of dough.

My 35-year old KitchenAid Professional finally tapped out after a few recent batches of bread dough. This new mixer is fantastic - easy to assemble, clean and operate. Handles double batches of bread dough with ease. Although the dough hook is a recent addition to the design it is indispensable with wet doughs. The dough roller is fantastic with lower hydration dough mixes. Absolutely love the ability to add ingredients without obstruction and being able to move the roller arm to coax the ingredients into the mix. The only downside for me is handling the bowl to get stuff out of it - it's a bit awkward because there's no handle so it takes a bit of maneuvering. Overall, I'm glad I made this purchase.

Only used it once so far. I generally do small batches or high-hydration doughs. I did a small batch of sourdough pizza dough. After mixing the ingredients, I knead the dough for 9 minutes. Much better results with the Ankarsrum mixer vice my other mixer.

This is a replacement to a KitchenAid 7QT pro. Very easy to set up and use(barely to no learning curve despite reviews). Love the concept of the open top to add ingredients on the go. Timer is a plus. A quiet workhorse. The side scraper is amazing. First attempt with sweetbread and they turned out beautifully.
